Refreshment!

Sounds a little crazy, but I miss the dirt. I miss composting and gardening and getting my hands into the earth. "Hibernation" is wearing on me so I decided to get out of the house and into the back yard that I miss so badly.

I've also been neglecting the sewing machine so this morning I made this compost cover. Koops was my assistant (that's always interesting:) My best friend, Melissa, made one of these as a birthday gift last year and I love it.

To breathe fresh, winter air is refreshing!
To create even just a little something makes me smile!

Big Brother Bag

I've found something that's fun and boyish to work on.
The Badge works well for our family, as Dad enforces the law for a living.
Kade was a good sport and let me take pics of his new "Big Brother Bag".
It's very simple. The way boys like it.I figured that if they have their own bag to tote around for Baby, they can help me that much more. Every little bit counts with a newborn. It's good practice anyway, thinking of others rather than yourself. Baby will surely be the "others" for awhile. The Back: Guns are CoolCan't wait to be big brother, again!

The Badge

Ok, so the Doctor's given orders to stay off my feet. Agghhh!!! It's so much easier said than done. With two boys, working in real estate, and my insane craving to "nest" it's been a real challenge. Thanks to my mom, I am surviving. She is saving me (and my family) by cooking, cleaning, organizing... the list goes on:-)
Since I have to be productive, I've dusted off the sewing machine and turned my dinning room table into a workspace. I'm working on a few things for baby girls- it's so much fun to create ruffles in pink! I finally did a little something for baby boy, pictured here:
Daddy will like this one!
This is a little shirt that I made for the new addition in the Bankston Family,
Baby Noella Shepherd!
Seriously, girls are so fun!
